A Message to Lake Hollywood Estates Community
We hope this message finds you well after what has undoubtedly been a challenging holiday season for our community. We deeply appreciate your patience and understanding as our neighborhood once again endured significant disruptions, including congested streets, inconsiderate visitors, illegal vending, and littered public spaces.
Please know that your LHHA Board has been working diligently to address these pressing issues. Throughout the holiday season, we communicated immediately our issues to our Council District (CD4) office, the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), and the Los Angeles Department of Transportation (LADOT), advocating for solutions to restore order and ensure the safety and well-being of our community.
Despite our efforts, it has become evident, as in previous years, that the city agencies responsible for managing these issues have not been as effective as we—and you—deserve. Recognizing this, the LHHA Board took additional steps this season to enhance security by arranging for extended shifts and increased coverage for our neighborhood’s private security detail. These measures, which previously only covered weekends, were expanded to provide a greater presence during this particularly busy time.

However, addressing these recurring challenges requires more than the Board’s efforts alone. To make a lasting impact, we need your voices. We encourage you to share your firsthand experiences and concerns with the city officials responsible for these matters. By doing so, you will amplify our collective call for meaningful action.
