Hollywood Hills Fire Safe Council

Lake Hollywood Homeowners Association and Hollywood Knolls Community Club recently founded The Hollywood Hills Fire Safe Council (HHFSC), as the next necessary step in attracting awareness and support to our hillsides.  As climate and wind conditions are changing, so are wildfire seasons.  They are quickly becoming a year-round threat and growing more dangerous each year.

HHFSC is a community driven non-profit organization committed to safeguarding the Hollywood Hillsides, it’s residents, visitors, wildlife, homes and landmarks through educating and providing useful skills on fire prevention and safety strategies.  In the upcoming months they will be officially recognized by the California Fire Safe Council giving us access to the statewide wildfire prevention recourses and grant opportunities.

HHFSC is hosting their first annual “Wildfire Preparedness Fair” on Saturday, June 7, 2025 from 10am – 2pm at the Lake Hollywood Park.  The fair will feature expert speakers, hands-on demonstrations and vital resources from fire and emergency response professionals.

Enjoy a picnic-style atmosphere with free food and beverages provided by Joe’s Falafel, Kettle Glazed Doughnuts, Starbucks, Beachwood Market and Beachwood Café.

We strongly encourage you to walk to the park and bring blankets or small lawn chairs to sit on.

This is a very important event, and we encourage all residents to participate.

Be part of a safer, stronger hillside community. Learn from the experts, connect with neighbors, and take action to protect your home.
